Wanderers But Not Lost

There are several hostels where you can sleep in New York. We stayed in 2 different hostels and recommend both, although for different budgets. So, lets check where you should sleep in New York!

This hostel is magnificent. We stayed in a twin room and paid about 160 USD / night. Not cheap, of course, but it is an apartment in Midtown and we stayed in a double bedroom. Actually it’s not like a hostel, but like an apartment with 4 bedrooms and one large kitchen and livingroom. Has wi-fi and everything you will need. The big advantage is that we could walk to Broadway, Times Square, the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center. It’s the best place where we sleep in New York.

New York Budget Inn

This hostel is cheaper than the other one. It cost us 90USD / night, a double room. The room is small but has a fridge. The hostel does not have kitchen. It is a bit further away from the center. You can walk (30-40 minutes) but it is well served by Metro.

There are many hostels and hotels in New York. Our travel tips are based on our own experience. Although we liked both places, if we returned to New York, we would sleep in Urban Oasis again.
