There are several hostels and hotels where you can sleep in Reykjavik. We chose Reykjavik City Hostel because of location and price, it offers kitchen and is one of the best places to meet travellers in the city. The hostel is not central but is located near a bus stop which allows you to go to the center. Furthermore it is quite cheaper than the city center hostels, which makes it an excellent choice for “budget” travellers. The hostel has a kitchen, which allows you to prepare all your meals like breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We chose a 6 bed dorm and booked almost four months in advance. Each bed cost 3450 ISK / person (about 22 €). This price is great considering that you are in Iceland. The hostel can be booked through the site itself, hostelworld or booking.com.
